Empuriabrava

Castelló d’Empúries

The County Town preserves all the vestiges of its medieval status as a capital: narrow streets, the town walls, the Jewish Quarter, and the magnificent Basilica of Santa Maria, whose interior houses remarkable treasures such as the 15th Century alabaster altarpiece of Our Virgin of Candelera, the 14th Century baptismal fonts, and the 19th Century organ.
