Un espai de coexistència entre aigua, terra, humans i natura

The Natural Park of Aiguamolls de l’Empordà belongs-mostly- to Castelló and touch with the old lake of Castelló. Inside there are three nature reserves: “Les Llaunes”, “Els Estanys” and “Illa de Caramany” with dune systems and marshes, freshwater ponds, rice fields, reed beds where we find a great biodiversity. In their dunes nests many bird species, with up 300 recorded and a characteristic flora.

There are also observation points to not disturb the animals. Visitors can achieve an approximation to these species that recognize this natural park as a refuge.

Timetable of  El Cortalet, Information Center of the Park:

From  October 27th 2024 to March the 30th 2025: From 9am to 6:30pm

*Access to park is free. Only parking is paying (5€). If you want to get out from parking, you should take a ticket in the Cortalet. When Cortalet is close, barriers are open.
